Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the Baji Raut Chhatrabas

Angul:21/5/22;Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday visited the Baji Raut Chhatrabas in Odisha’s Angul district and said it needs special care to meet its very objective of establishment.

The Chhatrabas was constructed by Former Odisha Chief Minister Nabakrushna Choudhury and Malati Choudhury.

As per reports, Pradhan had sanctioned Rs 10 lakh from his MP LAD fund for the construction of a community hall in the Chhatrabas.

On this occasion, Pradhan paid tributes to the late Nabakrushna Choudhury and Malati Choudhury at the Ashram premises.

For the development and maintenance of the Chhatrabas and the ashram, he also held discussions with the members of the ashram.

Talking to the media on this issue, Pradhan said that Ashram and Baji Raut Chhatrabas are a center of devotion of the nation. The Ashram and the Chhatrabas have not been developed much.

As per reports, the Union Minister had sanctioned Rs 10 lakh from his MP LAD fund for the construction of a community hall in the Chhatrabas.

He said that everyone should take responsibility for the development of Malati Devi Ashram, including this Chhatrabas.

Besides, Pradhan also graced the silver jubilee celebration of the Nalco Mazdoor Sangha as chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, he said the Modi Government is fully committed to the development of workers. What has been done for the workers in the last nine years was not done in the preceding 75 years.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the minimum wage of the migrant workers has been increased to the maximum and their social security has been given more attention today. The definition of labor has changed in the country. Training has been arranged to improve the skills of the workers. The respect of the labor force in the country has increased under the Modi government,” said Pradhan.

He added, “Poor people can’t be deprived of their rights. Children should pursue studies along with their work. Efforts are on to introduce technical education in a massive way.”

Pradhan said the development of the region depends on the growth of Nalco.
