Odisha Government has hiked the minimum daily wages by increasing variable dearness allowance

Bhubaneswar:6/4/23: The Odisha Government has hiked the minimum daily wages by increasing variable dearness allowance (VDA) by an average of Rs 12 per day for different categories of workers in the state.

A notification has been issued by the Labour Commissioner in this regard.

The minimum daily wages for unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled workers have been hiked to Rs 345, Rs 385, Rs 435 and Rs 495 respectively.

Previously, the wages were Rs 333, Rs 373, Rs 423 and Rs 483 for these categories respectively.
