Vinaytosh Mishra Takes Charge as Interim DGP

Cuttack:16/8/26:Vinaytosh Mishra, IPS, currently serving as CID, CB Director General of Police, formally assumed charge today as the Interim Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha, at the DGP Office in Kataka.

Mishra’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture for the state police, ensuring continuity in leadership and operational oversight. A seasoned officer with decades of service, he has held several important assignments across Odisha, including crime investigation and intelligence.

The interim charge underscores the state government’s emphasis on maintaining law and order while the process of appointing a permanent DGP continues. Senior officials and staff welcomed Mishra at the headquarters, where he outlined his priorities for strengthening policing, crime control, and public safety.
