Dhamra Port marks Milestone with First Steel Slab Cargo

Dhamra, 04.08.2025: In a significant milestone, Dhamra Port has successfully handled its first steel slab import cargo with the berthing of M.V. HTK Neptune at Berth BB-4. The vessel carried 35,000 metric tonnes of high-quality steel slabs for Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), marking a new chapter in the port’s operational capabilities.

Adani Dhamra Port, a key maritime asset on India’s east coast, has consistently set benchmarks in cargo handling and continues to play a pivotal role in supporting the country’s industrial growth. With its strategic geographic location and state-of-the-art infrastructure, the port has established itself as a vital gateway for import and export operations, serving major industrial hubs across Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar. Dhamra Port has developed the capability to berth some of the largest Cape-size vessels in the country and is equipped to manage deep-draft vessels and a diverse range of cargoes. This steel slab import reaffirms its position as a future-ready, multi-purpose logistics hub.
