Housing and Urban Development Department has issued draft notifications for the constitution of 12 new NAC

Bhubaneswar:16/8/25: The Housing and Urban Development Department has issued draft notifications for the constitution of 12 new Notified Area Councils (NACs) in seven districts across the state. The proposed NACs are aimed at enhancing urban governance and development in these areas.

Proposed NACs are:

– Angul District: Pallahara

– Subarnapur District: Birmaharajpur

– Balasore District: Simulia, Basta

– Mayurbhanj District: Betnoti, Bangiriposi, Chitrada

– Rayagada District: Bissam Cuttack

– Sambalpur District: Bamra, Rengali

– Bhadrak District: Tihidi, Dhusuri

The notification is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen urban planning and development in Odisha.

The government has decided to constitute 21 new Notified Area Councils in the State in view of the rapid development and growth of the state and the needs of the public.
