AIIMS Bhubaneswar Observes 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Bhubaneswar, 16/08/2025: AIIMS Bhubaneswar celebrated the 79th Independence Day with grandeur, patriotic zeal, and collective pride. The historic occasion was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, who unfurled the Tricolour as the chief guest of the ceremony, symbolized the spirit of freedom and unity.

In his inspiring address, Dr. Biswas paid homage to the nation’s freedom fighters and underscored AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s pivotal role in advancing healthcare, medical education, and research. He lauded the relentless dedication of the institute’s staff, stating that “AIIMS Bhubaneswar has emerged as a beacon of medical excellence, and its achievements stand as a testimony to our collective commitment towards nation-building.”

Highlighting the institute’s forward-looking vision, Dr. Biswas also announced upcoming projects aimed at enhancing quality patient care and strengthening healthcare delivery for the people of India.

As part of the celebrations, outstanding employees were felicitated for their exceptional contributions, exemplifying AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s culture of service beyond duty. The atmosphere resonated with patriotism as soulful renditions of patriotic songs filled the air, evoking unity, pride, and love for the motherland.

The event was dignified by the esteemed presence of Dr. P. R. Mohapatra (Dean, Academic), Dr. Satyajit Mishra (Dean, Research), Dr. Soubhagya Jena (Dean, Examination), Dr. Dillip Kumar Parida (Medical Superintendent), and DDA Lt. Col. Abhijit Sarkar, among other senior faculty and staff members.
