Housing & Urban Development Department has won the Second Prize for its innovative tableau

Bhubaneswar: 15/8/25:The Housing & Urban Development Department has won the Second Prize for its innovative tableau on Urban Mobility and Last Mile Connectivity during the State-level Independence Day celebrations in Bhubaneswar.

The award was presented by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to Principal Secretary Usha Padhee and Capital Region Urban Transport Managing Director Dr. N. Thirumala Naik.

The tableau showcased the department’s vision for sustainable, inclusive, and efficient urban transport, highlighting its commitment to integrating modern public transit with green mobility and improved last-mile connectivity for citizens. This achievement underscores the department’s efforts to enhance urban mobility and promote eco-friendly transportation solutions. The Housing & Urban Development Department is responsible for ensuring equitable growth and sustainable development of cities and towns in Odisha, headed by Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra and guided by Principal Secretary Usha Padhee.
