Deputy Chief Minister Shri K V Singh Deo reviewed the implementation of various flagship schemes of central government

Bhubaneswar- 11/08/2025:Today Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Energy Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo reviewed the implementation of flagship schemes of the Energy Department, such as PM Surya Ghar and PM-KUSUM. These two pivotal initiatives drive Odisha’s clean energy transformation.

Deputy CM Shri Singh Deo said, Odisha stands resolute in its pursuit of a sustainable, self-reliant energy future—where innovation meets inclusion, and every household and farmer is empowered through renewable solutions. In PM Surya Ghar yojana total 1,28,336 no. of applications have been received, out of which 1,27,820 no. of applications have been approved. And 33.6 MW capacity has already been installed. Likewise, in the PM-KUSUM scheme, 50 MW capacity has been approved by OERC. Deputy CM Shri Singh Deo also stressed the quick redressal of the grievances by the department, especially those brought to the CM Grievance. Directed to conduct performance review of the vendors in a regular basis. The bad performers can be deregistered.
Principal Secretary, Energy, Shri Vishal Dev, FA-cum-Special Secretary Shri Debidutta Tripathy, Additional Secretary Shri Saidutta Biplab Keshari Pradhan, and senior officials from OREDA, TP Central Odisha, and the Energy Department gave their insightful updates and strategic roadmap to accelerate implementation.
