Shovana Mohanty Appointed as Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women

Bhubaneswar:5/8/25: Shovana Mohanty has been appointed as Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women.

“In pursuance of Section-3(1) and Section-3(2) (b) of the Odisha State Commission for Women Act, 1993, the State Government has been pleased to appoint Smt. Shovana Mohanty, At-Karanjia, Remuna, Dist-Balasore as Chairperson, Odisha State Commission for Women, Bhubaneswar”, according to an official notification issued by the

Department of Women & Child Department, Government of Odisha.

The Chairperson shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the functions assigned under the Act. The Chairperson shall hold office for a period not exceeding three years from the date of issue of this Notification.

The salaries and allowances payable and the other terms and conditions of the service of the Chairperson shall be such as may be prescribed by the Government from time to time, as per the notification.
