World Trade Day 2025 Showcases Odisha’s Global Trade Vision— Palladium Applauded as Odisha’s Global Agri Trade Enabler

Bhubaneswar, August 4, 2025 — Odisha’s global trade aspirations gained renewed momentum as the World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar hosted its annual World Trade Day & Members Meet 2025 today. Held under the theme “Eastern India’s Economic Engine: Odisha’s Global Trade Vision,” the gathering brought together industry frontrunners, international partners, and public stakeholders committed to shaping Odisha’s export-led growth narrative.

A central highlight of the evening was the presentation of five distinguished awards, recognizing organizations and individuals that have meaningfully advanced trade and enterprise across key sectors in the state.

Among the honourees, Palladium was felicitated for its outstanding contributions to export facilitation and rural market development. Through institutional partnerships, capacity building, and scalable trade mechanisms, Palladium has consistently elevated Odisha’s presence in global supply chains. This receipt of the award is not only a testament to Palladium’s strategic role in developing FPO-led supply chains but also reinforces a commitment to unlocking inclusive export pathways for smallholder farmers. By bridging grassroots production with global platforms, Palladium exemplifies the kind of innovation and discipline that define Eastern India’s agribusiness landscape

Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, His Excellency Dr. Kambhampati Hari Babu, delivered a stirring keynote lauding trailblazer driving inclusive transformation:

“Odisha’s potential is anchored in equitable progress. These awards honour not just milestones, but the foundation of a future-ready trade ecosystem—grounded in local vitality, aiming global.” Drawing parallels with Vietnam’s trade success and citing ties with the Dubai Chamber, he spotlighted Odisha’s Farmer producer organizations as rising champions of export excellence.

Saptasajya Agro Producer Company was honored with the Small Business Global Trade Excellence Award at World Trade Day, in recognition of its outstanding work in agricultural exports and inclusive enterprise. This accolade reflects the FPO’s growing impact in connecting grassroots produce to global markets.

Senior dignitaries and global representatives reaffirmed the strategic heft of World Trade Day:

Mr. Kamaljit Das, Joint Secretary, MSME Department, Govt. of Odisha: “With MSME and RAMP frameworks taking root, platforms like this nurture cross-sector synergy. Palladium’s role has been pivotal—from grassroots capacity-building to policy shaping.”

In a defining move, WTC Bhubaneswar unveiled Think Tank conveners across priority sectors—agriculture, tourism, smart cities, innovation, and women-led enterprises—affirming its commitment to knowledge leadership.

The event featured a curated exhibit and interactive networking space, fostering collaboration among key players in Odisha’s trade ecosystem.

The event saw active participation from Farmer Producer Organizations, across the states, facilitated by Palladium. Their presence underscored the growing role of grassroots enterprises in shaping Odisha’s trade future.

The Promotion & stabilization of Farmer Producer organization (PSFPO) Project, led by Palladium, backed by Gates Foundation under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, has showcased remarkable success in elevating grassroots FPO enterprises to global platforms.
