Virtual training program for Internal committee member

Bhubaneswar, 29th July 2025: The Department of Women & Child Development (W&CD), in collaboration with UNFPA, conducted a virtual training session on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, for all Internal Committee (IC) members across Odisha.

The session, held at the W&CD Conference Hall, witnessed an overwhelming participation of IC members and stakeholders from across the state. The training was attended by the virtual presence of the Principal Secretary, W&CD Department, the Director of ICDS & Social Welfare, and senior officials.

Ms. Anuja Gulati, Programme Management Specialist from UNFPA, served as the resource person and facilitated an in-depth understanding of the legal framework of the POSH Act. She also addressed real-time queries from participants, highlighting the evolving challenges and responsibilities of ICs in ensuring safe workplaces.The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks, marking a significant step toward strengthening institutional mechanisms to combat workplace harassment and uphold women’s rights.
