Bhubaneswar:27/6/25:(Ashok Palit)Throughout human history, the seven colors of the rainbow have been interpreted in different ways to describe philosophy, art, nature, and many other emotions. Sometimes these colors have been used as symbols of our cultural and spiritual life, and sometimes many earthly understandings and many otherworldly concepts have been depicted through these colors. Hidden in the interpretation of these colors are images of many consciousnesses, such as love, desire, faith, hope, fear, waiting, and emptiness. Some of those consciousnesses are brought together in the form of seven short stories, which are soon coming to the big screen in the Odia film ‘Indradhanu’.
‘Indradhanu‘ is a collection, or anthology, of seven short stories, in which the stories placed represent the seven colors of the rainbow. Purple, deep blue, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red – just like a rainbow of seven colours in the sky in the order of ‘Tiger’s Nest’, this rainbow on the screen also has seven colourful stories in sequence. If you look at it like this, the story of this movie starts with a purple rose and ends with a red sunset. If you look closely, this rainbow starts with the simple faith of a small child, which ends with the unconditional love of two adults. In between, there are five more stories, which speak of the rest of the colours in the form of love, faith, dreams, and dreams! Indradhanu is directed, illustrated, and edited by young director Arjun Samantray.
The movie is designed by young literary artist Suryasnath Tripathi. The film is sponsored by renowned film personality Rajendra Mahanath and co-producers Suryasnath and Surabhi Patnaik. The stories of Indradhanur are written by Nikhilesh Mishra, Saroj Bala, Badal Mohanty, and Suryasnat, while the music of the film is composed by Anurag Patnaik. The title song, written by Shri Devadas Chhotray, is sung by Sushmita Das and Ratikant Satapathy with music by senior music director Om Prakash Mohanty. Indradhanu stars Chaudhary Vikas Das, Dipanbit Dasmahapatra, Smita Mohanty, Ramakant Mishra, Bhaswati Basu, Devadatta Pati, Abhishek Giri, Dharitri Khanduwal, Sudhashri Madhusmita, Rinku Padhan, Soumya Ranjan, Haddha, Dishani Devanjana, Sagar Sadangi, Amisha Mohanty, Roopshree, and others in the lead roles in various stories. Indradhanu is going to release on 18th of next July.
