Development Commissioner of Water Resources Department review ongoing projects and departmental activities

Bhubaneswar:27/5/25: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Water Resources Department, Anu Garg, today chaired a meeting with senior officials and engineers of various branches of the department to review ongoing projects and departmental activities.

According to an official press note, the meeting assessed the progress of major, medium, and minor irrigation projects, lift irrigation schemes, mega lift projects, and other under-construction initiatives.

During the review, Garg directed senior officials and engineers to expedite efforts to secure approvals for pending projects and schemes, accelerate ongoing construction works, increase departmental expenditure in line with budget provisions and set targets, and take steps to fill vacant positions within the department. She emphasized the need for concerted efforts to achieve significant and visible improvements in the performance of various branches.

Garg also advised officials to maintain sincerity and collaborative efforts to enhance the efficiency of their respective branches, ensuring notable progress in the department’s initiatives.
