Odisha Farmers Set seven-day educational visit to Malaysia

Bhubaneswar:18/4/25:Odisha’s agricultural sector is set for a transformation as the state government facilitates a seven-day educational visit to Malaysia for 14 farmers and 14 agricultural officers.

The initiative, backed by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the World Bank, is designed to equip local farmers with modern techniques to enhance productivity and sustainability.

During their time in Malaysia, the delegation will explore climate-resilient farming methods, greenhouse technology, fruit grading, packaging processes, and mushroom production. On their return, the farmers will share their newly acquired knowledge with their communities, fostering agricultural growth across Odisha.

Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, who announced the program, emphasised the government’s commitment to boosting farmers’ incomes through global best practices. This initiative marks a crucial step in integrating international expertise to modernise Odisha’s agricultural landscape.
