Bhubaneswar:6/4/25: As part of the ongoing “Odia Pakhya” celebrations, being observed for the first time across Odisha from April 1 to April 14, a statewide Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive) was held on Sunday.

The cleanliness campaign was organized around temples, heritage monuments, and tourist spots across various districts. The primary goal was to promote cleanliness at these culturally significant locations, thereby fostering a healthy and aesthetically pleasing environment for both locals and visitors. The drive, which spanned all blocks and districts, saw enthusiastic participation from district and block-level administrations, municipal and panchayati raj representatives, voluntary organizations, youth groups, residents, and public representatives. Together, they undertook cleaning activities around temple premises, village shrines, and iconic heritage sites.
