“Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” :Cultural Exchange Programme between Maharashtra and Odisha IITTM Bhubaneswar and H.R. College of Commerce and Economics

Bhubaneswar:24/9/23:Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme (EBSB) aims to celebrate cultural diversity through mutual interaction & reciprocity between people of different States to resonate throughout the country. In this context, Maharashtra has been paired with Odisha and has participated in activities pertaining to culture, cuisine, handicrafts, historical/ tourist places, indigenous sports, etc. As part of this initiative, IITTM Bhubaneswar & H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai came together to organize a unique cultural and educational exchange programme between 20-26 September 2023 at IITTM Bhubaneswar. Different activities like knowledge exchange, cultural programmes, showcases of traditional attire and visits to destinations in Odisha have been organized.

On 23rd September 2023, a cultural exchange programme including classical & folk dance, music, showcase of traditional attire. Handicrafts, rangoli and painting were organized at IITTM Bhubaneswar. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Md. Sabir Hussain, Nodal Officer and Head, IITTM in the presence of Coordinator of the EBSB programme Dr.Adyasha Das, Ms Rashmi Sonia Tirkey, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Bhubaneswar, Faaiz Patel and faculty members of HR College, Mumbai.

In the inaugural speech, Dr. Hussain explained the significance of EBSB in shaping the personality of tourism professionals. Dr. Adyasha Das highlighted the achievements of the Yuva Club and Culture Club of IITTM and emphasized the importance of culture in tourism.

The above programme was organized in association with IITTM Bhubaneswar and India Tourism, Mumbai & Bhubaneswar and HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
