Odisa State Film Awards:Jayadev Award rename as Mohan Sunder Dev Goswami Award

Bhubaneswar:9/9/23:(Ashok Palit) Odisha State Film Awards for the years 2020;2021 &2022 are going to be held with several amendments to the 2010 Odisha State Film Awards Rules. Several new awards have been inducted for the upcoming year. One major decision has been taken to rename the Jayadev Award as Mohan Sunder Dev Goswami Award. This award was given for the lifetime achievement of Odia  Film personality. Another new award has been also inducted for best book/monogram written in English/Odia on Odia Cinema. For the upcoming year Jayadev award cash prize amount has been hiked from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs.5lakh: Not only  Jayadev award the cash prize amount is being increased in all 33 segments. Ashok Palit has completed his graduation from Upendranath College Soro, Balasore and post graduation from Utkal University in Odia Language and literture.. He has also carved out a niche for himself as a scribe of eminence after joining the profession in 1988. He is also an independent media production professional. He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
