AICTE ATAL FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON “MAPPING THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA” BEGINS AT IIT BHUBANESWAR

, Bhubaneswar:21/12/22: The AICTE ATAL Faculty Development Programme on “Mapping the Impact of Social Media”is being conducted from 12-23December 2022 in the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, IIT Bhubaneswar. The offline Inaugural ceremony of the programme was held in the Community Centreof IIT Bhubaneswar on 19 December 2022.

The AICTE ATAL Academy offers continuous learning opportunities to Faculty members of AICTE approved institutions from all over the country. The initiative is ensuring skill improvisation for AICTE affiliated teachers in the Post-Pandemic era.

The School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, IIT Bhubaneswar continuously conducts AICTE ATAL FDPs and other academic outreach programmes for the benefit of the teaching fraternity.

Faculty participants from AICTE recognized Institutions have registered in the two-week-long event. Through our continuous learning programmes, IIT Bhubaneswar strives to be the guiding force in this part of the country in academic outreach programmes, mentioned Prof. ShreepadKarmalkar, Director IIT Bhubaneswar. With his spirited guidance and ample support from Prof.Sujit Roy, Dean, Continuing Education, Prof. Rajesh Roshan Dash, Associate Dean(Continuing Education)and Dr. DukhabandhuSahoo, Head, School of HSSM, the programme is being coordinated by Dr. Punyashree Panda from the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, IIT Bhubaneswar.

Ashok Palit has completed his graduation from Upendranath College Soro, Balasore and post graduation from Utkal University in Odia Language and literture.. He has also carved out a niche for himself as a scribe of eminence after joining the profession in 1988. He is also an independent media production professional. As a film society activist, he soared to eminence for his profound commitment to the art film appreciation and aesthetics of cinema. A film aesthete with an immense fond of critical sensibilities, he wrote about growth and development of odia cinema in New Indian Express, The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, The Asian Age and Screen. He has been working as an Editor for Cine Samaya from 2002-2004.. He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
