New York Times best-selling author called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today evening.

Bhubaneswar6/12/22:New York Times best-selling author Sean Covey, president of FranklinCovey Education, USA, William Bill Mclntyre, vice president, FranklinCovey Education, USA, Dr Kannan Gireesh, Founder LiveLife Education, Dr K Abdul Ghani, the Green Man of India and Dr Shilpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International School, called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today evening.

Belonging to a family of writers, Covey was delighted to be in the company of Odisha CM, who himself has penned books, which were popular. They apprised Naveen on the LeaderInMe Connect Programme, a whole-school transformation model and process started by the FranklinCovey Education

Earlier in the day, the team visited SAI International, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan schools, DM School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) I, II and III, in the city, Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya Munduli and KV Munduli. They interacted with teachers and students under the LeaderInMe Connect Programme on the premises of SAI International School here.

SAI International introduced the learning curriculum of LeaderInMe Program which has benefitted the students and teachers immensely. This programme incorporates ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ as authored by American Educator, Author Stephen Richard Covey, the father of Sean Covey.

The 7 Habits combined with the framework of the LeaderInMe Program is an evidence-based, comprehensive model that builds leadership and life skills in students, creates a high-trust school culture, and lays the foundation for sustained academic achievement.

The session was highly interactive with educators and students posing numerous questions to Covey. While addressing the gathering, the bestselling author said, “Everybody has the potential to lead and can-do wonders. Every child is incredible special and worthy.”

When students asked him for suggestions for imparting the 7 habits in the children post pandemic, he said, “SAI International is diligently following and imparting the 7 habits in the students through various activities in the classroom learning space and I’m sure through these activities students of SAI International will definitely scale up to be the leaders in the future.”

Headmaster of DM School Bhubaneswar, Akhilesh Kumar Mishra was highly appreciative of the entire session and said, “Such sessions are imperative for educators as well as children to learn from.
