Secy 5T to CM, V K Pandian visited the Kalinga Stadium to review the sports infrastructure projects

Bhubaneswar:14/11/22:As per the direction of CM Shri Naveen Patnaik, Secy 5T to CM, Shri V K Pandian visited the Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar to review the sports infrastructure projects taken up under 5T initiative. The projects include India’s first indoor athletics stadium, indoor aquatics stadium, Tennis centre, Hockey High-Performance Centre, Gymnastics centre and India’s largest sports science centre. He also visited the Badminton High-Performance centre being constructed under CSR by Dalmia Bharat.

Shri Pandian expressed satisfaction with the progress of the construction and motivated the officials, and staff present at the site for their hard work in creating such facilities in such a short time. The projects are expected to be commissioned over the next two months.
Secy reflected upon CM’s vision to invest in sports & future of youth and shared that these projects, endeavours will play a key role in nurturing champions. It will be a proud moment to see Odisha playing vital part in India’s dream of becoming a true sporting nation, he added.

He discussed in detail with the site engineers the progress of the projects and timelines for completion. He expressed satisfaction that the construction is progressing well. The project construction started around 15 months back and the projects are expected to be commissioned over the next two months.
