Vice President greets the nation on the eve of Rath Yatra

Newdelhi:30/6/22:The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has greeted the people on the eve of Rath Yatra. Following is the full text of his message –

“I convey my heartiest greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra.

The Rath Yatra of Odisha, depicting the annual journey of Lord Jagannatha, considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, witnesses the coming together of the entire community in celebration of the grace and divinity of the Lord.  Devotees who join the Rath Yatra consider it their blessing to pull the chariot of the Lord Jagannatha. The splendour and grandeur of the Rath Yatra is truly unparalleled.

May the pious and noble ideals associated with Rath Yatra enrich our lives with peace and harmony”.

Following is the Hindi version of the message:

“मैं “रथ” यात्रा के पावन अवसर पर अपने देशवासियों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएँ देता हूं।

भगवान विष्णु के अवतार माने जाने वाले, भगवान जगन्नाथ की वार्षिक यात्रा को दर्शाती ओडिशा की रथ यात्रा, भगवान की दिव्यता और भव्यता का उत्सव मनाने के लिए सभी समुदायों के एक साथ आने का सुअवसर है। रथ यात्रा में भाग लेने वाले भक्तगण, भगवान जगन्नाथ के रथ को खींचना उनका आशीर्वाद मानते हैं। रथ यात्रा की महिमा और भव्यता वास्तव में अनुपम है।

मेरी शुभकामना है कि रथ यात्रा से जुड़े पवित्र और उच्च आदर्श हमारे जीवन को शांति और सौहार्द से ओतप्रोत कर दें।“
