Bhubaneswar:28/6/22: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Odisha unit held a meeting at the party headquarters in Bhubaneswar to discuss the strategy for the 2024 general elections on Tuesday.
The meeting that was presided by the party’s State president Samir Mohanty also saw the presence of National BJP secretary Harish Dwivedi.The party has proposed that MPs will be in charge of the parliamentary constituencies while Union ministers will visit the areas at regular intervals.
As per official reports, a blueprint is also being prepared to make the party’s win in the 2024 general elections sure and strengthen the party’s base at the grassroots level. The party’s poor performance in 2019 general elections and its debacle in the parliamentary constituencies have been the focus of the saffron party.
While MPs will be in charge of these constituencies, Union ministers will visit the areas at regular intervals. A blueprint is being prepared to make the party’s win in the 2024 general elections sure and strengthen the party’s base at the grassroots level.
Another brainstorming session of BJP functionaries will be held today afternoon to discuss topics to be passed at the State executive committee meeting tomorrow.
“Today is the first day of the State executive committee meeting. The State party functionaries will meet today afternoon. The meeting will decide on the topics to be discussed at the executive committee meeting tomorrow. The proposals will then be placed at a meeting of district presidents and ‘prabharis’ in the evening,” informed general secretary, BJP, Golak Mohapatra.
“In the meeting, proposals to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for nominating Draupadi Murmu as its Presidential candidate and hiking the minimum support price (MSP) for paddy will come. This apart, the party will decide the plan of action for the coming three months through a proposal.
