Director General of Police, Fire Services reviewed the arrangement for the annual Rath Yatra in Puri

Cuttack:15/6/22:: Director General of Police, Fire Services Santosh Kumar Upadhyay today reviewed the arrangement for the annual Rath Yatra in Puri.

Upadhyay emphasized having arrangements looking into minimum interference of pilgrims and providing maximum satisfaction while rendering public services.

As many as two units of Quick Response Team will be pre-positioned at Pipili bypass and   Konark to attend accidents and any untoward situations. All the fire stations in Puri district have been instructed to remain on high alert during the entire festival period. They will attend to any natural calamities in addition to their routine duties. All fire stations of Puri district will be equipped with combi tools.

As many as 21 fire tenders (motor fire engine), three water tenders, one crane, one rescue tender with advanced equipment, nine quick response units, three fire ambulances, three mist bikes with adequate fire pumps and power boats will be pressed into public service during the Rath Yatra.
