Govt is prepared for possible cyclone: Pradeep Jena

Bhubaneswar, May 05: Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena on Thursday said the government is prepared for the possible cyclone.

Jena, however, said the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) can give a clear picture on the cyclone only after low pressure is formed tomorrow.

“We are well prepared for the possible cyclone. Collectors of 18 districts have been asked to undertake all preparedness measures in advance”, said the SRC.

He said 17 NDRF, 20 ODRAF and 175 teams of Fire Services dept are on toes.

The SRC said there is no possibility of  flood-like situation if a cyclone hits the state in the summer
