Bhubaneswar:29/4/22:Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Women’s Entrepreneurship Council (IWEC) inaugurated by the honourable Chief Minister on January 2020, has reached a milestone of 100+ women members who are actively involved in running their businesses. IWEC Odisha is one of the most vibrant groups of women entrepreneurs in the country. The success of IWEC, Odisha has propelled the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to launch IWEC chapters throughout the country based on the Odisha model along with the National IWEC Chapter. IWEC is planning to organise India’s First Women’s Business Mela 5 day extravaganza from 04 to May 2022 to08 th May 2022 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar with over 100+ women entrepreneurs setting up stalls.

The event will also feature Conferences, Seminars & Workshops. Talk Shows, Investor Pitch, MSME Schemes, Financial Literacy drives, Awards, Networking, Cultural Events, Fashion Show, Ollywood Night, Food festivals, Selfie Zones, Kids Play Area etc. The event will promote women entrepreneurs in Odisha and will also be a platform that will be informative and inspirational for aspiring women entrepreneurs, kids and families. The event is being promoted nationally through ICC, MSME-DI Government of India, and Government of Odisha and through various media houses. The event is expected to be inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik and the Honourable Governor His Excellency Shri Ganeshi Lal will be Chief Guest at the closing ceremony.

Various dignitaries have confirmed their participation in the Business Mela. Mr Subroto Bagchi, (Chairman Odisha Skill Development Agency & Founder of Mindtree) Mr Achyuta Samanta (Member of Parliament, Founder & Chairman of KIIT University & KIIS) Mr Sujeet Kumar (Member of Parliament, Founder Kalinga Kusum Foundation), Lara Dutta (Bollywood Actor, Entrepreneur& Former Miss Universe), Mr Arjun Rampal (Actor & Entrepreneur), Mr Imtiaz Ali (Director & Producer), Mr Gauranga Das Prabhu, (Motivational Speaker) Mr Luke Coutinho, (LifeStyle Coaches), Mr Vikram Bawa, (Celebrity Photographer), Mr Samir Purohit (LifeStyle Coaches) and many more will join as a guest.
