Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall/ thunderstorm

Bhubaneswar:16/4/22: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall/ thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

“Light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha,” the Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, it added and issued a Yellow Warning for these districts.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 5 days over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature will be more than 40 degrees Celsius at many places and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3°C at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during next 4 to 5 days.
