New Delhi, Jan 23: The Netaji Research Bureau today conferred former Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe with the Netaji Award 2022 today.
Consul General of Japan in Kolkata Nakamura Yutaka received the honour on behalf of Abe at a function at the Elgin Road residence of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary.
Japanese Ambassador to India Satoshi Suzuki addressed the programme virtually from New Delhi.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the hologram statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate on his 125th birth anniversary.
Modi also conferred the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskars, for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
