Utkal University should be the mentor university for promoting local dialects:Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhubaneswar: 27/11/21:Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the website of the Centre for Innovation and Incubation (CII) at Utkal University today.

“The CII will handhold young entrepreneurs and start-ups and act as a catalyst in creating a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem in Odisha,” said Pradhan.

The Minister attended the 79th foundation day celebration of Utkal University here on Saturday.

On the occasion, he interacted with young entrepreneurs at the university’s Centre for Innovation and Incubation

He also informed that the Department of Biotechnology has identified and developed a polyclonal anti-Transferrin antibody.

The indigenously developed product has a wide range of applications in treating blood, tissue and iron-related physiological dysfunctions, the Minister said.

Addressing the faculty and students, Pradhan lauded the role of Utkal University in promoting education.

Pradhan laid stress on learning and teaching mother tongue and local dialects to retain the culture of a state.

“English is a global trade language and all should learn it, but mother tongue should be given priority,” said Pradhan.
