Online learning platform Unacademy inked an agreement with the School and Mass Education Department of Odisha, to provide scholarships to meritorious students

Bhubaneswar:24/11/21: Online learning platform Unacademy today inked an agreement with the School and Mass Education Department, Odisha, to provide scholarships to meritorious students and prepare them for competitive exams.

The agreement signed between Bengaluru-based Unacademy and the School and Mass Education Department, Odisha, will be valid for FY2021-22, FY2022-23, and FY2023-24.

All Class 10, 11, and 12 students from government and government-aided schools of Odisha will be eligible to take the aptitude test on basis of which Unacademy will provide a scholarship.

As part of the MoU, Unacademy and Department of School and Mass Education will collaborate to provide free-of-cost scholarships to meritorious students of Odisha government and government-aided schools to prepare for competitive exams.

Unacademy along with the S&ME department will conduct a series of aptitude tests where qualifying students eligible to receive scholarships to study on Unacademy would be selected on basis of ranks secured in the test.

The aptitude test will be conducted on the Unacademy platform.

A total of 3,000 students i.e. 1,000 students per year will receive the benefit of scholarships. The term scholarship shall mean a Unacademy Plus subscription for a competitive exam for a term not longer than one year.

The S&ME department will provide the list of students to Unacademy at least 45 days prior to the test.
