Akshaya Sangeet Samman 2021 conferred on noted singer Dr. Adyasha Das

Bhubaneswar:22/11/21:Noted singer of the state, Dr. Adyasha Das was conferred with the prestigious Akshaya Samman for Music 2021 by Sanskruti & Sanskruti & Odisha Cine Critics Association in their glittering program “Smruti Tume Akhyaya”, a tribute to the legendary composer, singer & writer Shri Akshaya Mohanty on 17th Nov 2021.

Das is an unmistakable voice among the acclaimed singers of Odisha. Her versatility is expressed in her felicity of musical expression in various genres –  her mother-tongue Odia as well as Hindi, Bengali English, etc. She has been an active participant in various music/poetry workshops and recitals organized by numerous forums at national and international levels. A playback singer noted for her melodious rendition, her repertoire includes Geet, Ghazal, Bhajan & Sugam Sangeet apart from Champu, Chanda, and Geeta Govinda. She has been awarded by several organizations for excellence in music. She has more than fifteen audio albums to her credit and has sung the compositions of eminent music composers of Odisha.

Her music projects are a unique combination of literature and music. Credited with the first musical autobiography in Odia based on the noted writer, Pratibha Ray’s autobiography, ”Padma Patrare Jibana”, she has also sung unforgettable melodies based on the poems of Fakir Mohan Senapati, Sitakanta Mahapatra, Satya Pattanaik, etc., composed by Shri Omprakash Mohanty. She is also credited with the first-ever song venerating the Chausathi Yoginis of Hirapur, a rare historic-mythic-musical tribute to the elusive Yoginis

Akshaya Sangeet Samman 2021 given away by  Achyuta Samant, Iti Samant, Pradosh Pattnaik & other dignitaries in the presence of Jnanpith laureate, eminent writer Dr.Pratibha Ray.
