ESL Steel inoculates more than 3 lakh people through multiple vaccination drives at Vedanta Covid Care Field Hospital

–         Aiming to vaccinate over 15 lakh more community members between the age group of 05-17

Bokaro :27/10/21:: ESL Steel, a Vedanta Group Company, and a key national steel player, has yet again conducted a COVID vaccination drive at Vedanta Covid Care Field Hospital in Chas Bokaro.  In collaboration with the district administration, Vedanta ESL has so far vaccinated more than 3,00,000 people through the hospital that came up in June this year.

Reputed members from Bokaro including Deputy Commissioner, Kuldeep Chaudhary, Deputy Development Commissioner, Jay Kishore, MP Dhanbad, PK Singh, and SP, Chandan Kumar Jha have hailed Vedanta ESL’s contribution towards the safety of the community through its free and safe vaccination drives.

Due to ESL’s incessant efforts, Bokaro today ranks among the top 3 cities in COVID vaccination in the state of Jharkhand. Vedanta ESL now aims to vaccinate 15 lakh and 85 thousand more people in Bokaro, including those in the age bracket of 05-17 years.

On the occasion, NL Vhatte, CEO, ESL Steel Ltd., said, “Together with the District and State Administration, ESL constantly rolled out newer initiatives to help tide over the second wave of the pandemic that wreaked havoc across India. One of these initiatives was the Vedanta ESL Covid Care Field Hospital that has so far reached out to hundreds of people and helped them reach immunity from Covid virus through rapid inoculations. Today, the Vedanta Covid Care Field Hospital is one of the biggest Covid vaccination centers in Jharkhand. Apart from vaccination, the facility provides other medical services such as ICU beds and oxygen cylinders. Simultaneously, some of the most experienced and trusted doctors of the district are keeping a close watch on the vaccination process in the hospital.
