Music Band “Alaap” launched

Bhubaneswar:5/9/21:A dynamic music band set to carve a niche for itself was launched on Oct 3rdby veteran musician, music co-ordinator & rhythm player AbaniKantaDas(Genu) and his daughter Purabi Das. The father-daughter duo is all set to initiate new trends in music and at the same time, attempting to preserve and promote love for old melodies. Speaking at the launching ceremony, Abani Kanta Das highlighted the goals of the band and emphasized the promotion of the highest levels of human aspiration and artistic integrity through the documentation and performance of music.

With several years of experience in the music industry, he emphasized the need to create a platform for budding singers. Purabi Das explained the importance of keeping alive the love for music through innovative programmes and platforms that would be offered by “Alaap”. Dr.Adyasha Das, Core Committee member, and adviser, lauded the efforts of the creators of Alaap and emphasized the need for promoting diversity & creativity through music. Debasis Patnaik, (Red Swastik Society Odisha), SheemaMohanty (Music Sizzlers), RashmiMohapatra (Raas), and Asit Das (Indradhanu) were also present at the launching ceremony along with celebrated singers and musicians
