Odisha Civil Services: OPSC Postpones Personality Test In View Of Bharat Bandh

Bhubaneswar:24/9/21:The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Friday announced postponement of viva-voce test and document verification of Odisha Civil Services Examination (OCS)-2019 in view of the nationwide shutdown called by the farmer group Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) on September 27.

The viva-voce test and verification of original documents of candidates which was earlier scheduled to be held on September 27, 2021 has been postponed to October 5, 2021.

“The physical verification of original documents and viva voce test in respect of 36 candidates for recruitment to the post of Odisha Civil Services Examination-2019, scheduled to be held on 27.09.2021 has been postponed to 05.10.2021 due to Bharat Bandh,” the Commission stated in a notification.

The commission has shared programme details of the document verification and viva voce test on October 5. As per the programme, candidates will appear for the personality test in two sittings from 11 am and 3 pm.

“All other terms and conditions of the previous notice mentioned above remain unchanged,” the commission said.
The main written examination of Odisha Civil Services-2019 was conducted between December 7, 2020 and January 3, 2021 at various centres across the State.

The result of the main written examination of OCS-2019 was announced by OPSC on September 9 on its website www.opsc.gov.in. As many as 307 candidates have cleared the main examination and provisionally qualified for personality test.

Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a coalition of over forty Indian farmers’ unions has called for Bharat Bandh on September 27 to protest against the three farm laws of the Centre. The shutdown will be effective from 6 am to 4 pm. All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AlBOC) has also extended its support to the Bandh.
