Renowned sand artist Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik was re-nominated as the President of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi

Bhubaneswar:20/9/21: Renowned sand artist Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik was re-nominated as the President of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi today. Chief Minister Naveen Patanik re-nominated Sudarsan as the Akademi’s President for another three years. Worth mentioning, Sudarsan has been working as the Akademi’s President since 2018 and his tenure is ending this year.

Sudarsan’s name was selected for the prestigious post by the Chief Minister. In September 2018, Sudarsan was appointed for the post.

He was awarded Padma Shri in 2014 for his contribution to sand arts. He also bagged different awards like National Youth award, National Tourism award, and People of the Year award by Limca Book in 2009.
