New Delhi;5/9/21: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday honoured 44 teachers with a National Award in recognition of their contribution to society. Two teachers from Odisha were also featured on the list and were felicitated by the President.
The awardees were among 44 teachers selected for the National Awards to Teachers (NAT), 2021. President Ram Nath Kovind honoured the teachers during a programme via video conference attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Ashok Satpathy from Bhadrak district and Ajit Kumar Sethy from Ganjam district are the meritorious teachers from Odisha who were conferred with the national award. These awards were in honour of the teachers who have contributed to improving the lives of students and helped in shaping their future.
Both the teachers, Ashok Satpathy and Ajit Kumar Sethy shared their experiences after receiving the national award from the President of India during the virtual event today.
