Bhubaneswar18/8/21: Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar will reopen for devotees from September 1. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Lingaraj Temple Trust Board.
Earlier in April, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has restricted public entry into the 11th century Lingaraj Temple after four servitors were tested positive for Covid-19. The government has also banned entry of Bol Bam devotees to the shrine. Thousands of Bol Bom devotees throng the shrine on Mondays in the holy month of Shravan
Sources said that the devotees can visit the temple by strictly adhering to the Covid-19 norms.
