Senior Officials Inspect Progress Of Crucial Projects Bisra Munda International Hockey Stadium, Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, Science Park and Planetarium

Rourkela:18/8/21: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, National Health Mission Managing Director Shalini Pandit, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian and Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Vineel Krishna were on a visit to Rourkela today.

During the visit, the senior officials inspected the progress of Bisra Munda International Hockey Stadium, Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, Science Park and Planetarium. The residential complex for rehabilitation of slum dwellers was also reviewed by them.

Sundergarh Collector, Rourkela ADM, and Rourkela Municipal Corporation Commissioner accompanied the delegation which met at the Rourkela Airport for a detailed discussion on the ongoing projects.

Mahapatra said, “The terminal at Rourkela airport will be completed by May 2022. Many projects in Rourkela under the Smart City mission are underway, keeping in view the Hockey World Cup.”

With the transformation, infrastructure and other facilities, Smart City Rourkela will transform into a key hub for Sports and Athletics in near future, he added.
