DGP Abhay welcomes Olympians Birendra Lakra and Amit Rohidas

Bhubaneswar, Aug 11: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay welcomed the Olympians Birendra Lakra and Amit Rohidas to Odisha police after the duo were appointed as DSP by the Chief Minister on Wednesday.

Earlier, in the morning Birendra Lakra,the Vice-Capatain of the Team India Hockey (Men) and  Amit Rohidas was felicitated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and offered with the appointment letter to join as DSP in the State Police.

Notably, Birendra and Amit Rohidas fetched bronze medals for India in Tokyo Olympics-2021.

Taking to the Twitter DGP Abhay said, Congrats to Sh Amit Rohidas n Sh Birendra Lakra on offer of appointment to post of DSP in Odisha Police .We look forward to their joining Odisha Police and bringing more glory to Odisha n India.
