Ohio:7/8/21:Black Eagle First Book Award was initiated in 2019 to encourage authors to publish their books. This award is given to the first manuscript of the author, in other words, an author who has never published a book before. The award for the year 2021 is” awarded to Manas Panda for his Odia short story collection “Eka Mayurapuchhara Kahani. This is a collection of eighteen short stories of different tastes & flavours, written by young Journo & Feature writer Manas Panda. Mr. Panda, as a distinguished Journalist, has carved a niche for himself in Odisha. But, apart from reporting & column writing, he has expressed his creativity & passion successfully in the form of short stories too. He has written more than twenty short stories till date, most of them published in magazines of repute. In “Eka Mayurapuchhara Kahani ”, one can find the flavour of love intermingled with the pain of heartbreak; nostalgic attitude mixed with difficulties of life; raga of romance wrapped in fire of frustration.
