COVID Positive Cases Cross 1 Lakh in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:1/8/21: The capital city registered 318 COVID positive cases in the last 24 hours pushing the total caseload to 1,00,181. The COVID positive number was 354 on Saturday and 389 on Friday.

Of the new cases registered during the period, 79 were from quarantine and 239 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the local contact cases, 21 cases are from Patia, 12 from Rasulgarh, 10 from Sailashree Vihar and 9 from Old Town.

As many as 237 patients recovered from the disease during the period while the number of deceased went up to 806. The city now has 2,498 active cases, the BMC stated.
