Bhubaneswar:18/6/21:Clearing all confusion, the Odisha government on Friday announced that the final year or final semester examination for both Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) students will be conducted in online mode.

Higher Education Minister, Arun Sahoo said that the examination will be conducted by July-August this year. The concerned university and autonomous colleges have been asked to finalise the dates for the examinations.

While talking to reporters, Sahoo informed that that the decision to hold online examinations was taken following  suggestions which came up during a meeting with the Vice-Chancellors of various universities earlier during the day.

The UG, PG final year or final sesmeter exams will be conducted in online mode. For other annual and semester exams, appropriate decision will be taken at a later time. If any student/s have back-paper, their examination will also be conducted and completed by July-August,” said Sahoo.

When asked about the possibility of smooth conduct of the examination through online mode, the minister clarified that the students who have internet facilities can sit for the examination from their homes.

Those students who do not  have access to such facility, they can appear the examination at their nearest degree colleges. The officials of universities and colleges will decide on the how the examinations will be conducted online.
