Odisha Government’s Culture Department has sanctioned Rupees one lakh for Tapu Mishra treatment

Bhubaneswar:18/6/21: The Odisha Government’s Culture Department has sanctioned Rupees one lakh in favour of playback Odia playback singer Tapu Mishra for her treatment out of Artist Welfare Fund, said an official press communique issued today.

The health condition of Tapu, who is undergoing treatment for post-Covid-19 complications at a private hospital here has deteriorated and she needs to be shifted for advanced treatment outside Odisha either at Kolkata or Chennai, according to family sources.

The playback singer’s lungs have been badly affected and her condition remains to be critical.

The family of the singer had sought support from the people for her treatment.
