Bhubaneswar:18/6/21: The Capital city reported a marginal increase in the daily infection count for the second consecutive day with the detection of 443 new Covid positives in the last 24 hours, according to the daily update shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today evening.

While four more have succumbed to Covid-19 in the city during the same period, the number of active cases has dropped to 2494.

The death toll due to Covid-19 in the city now stands at 396.

A total of 615 Covid patients have recovered in the city in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative total of recoveries to 83,159.

The cumulative total of Covid cases in the city crossed 86,000 with a tally of 86,070.

Out of the new positive cases reported from the city, 355 are local contact cases and the remaining 88 are quarantine cases.
