UG and PG examinations this year will definitely be held in the state

Bhubaneswar: 12/6/21:Clearing the air on conduct of UG and PG examinations this year,  Odisha Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo today said the exams will definitely be held in the state. The final decision regarding the mode of examinations will be taken on June 18, he informed.

Following a virtual meeting with vice-chancellors of universities, the Minister said the VCs have been asked to report after holding discussions with their respective principals, lecturers, and students on the matter.

“Last year, many states had announced cancellation of the examinations in view of COVID-19 pandemic but we did not. Later, the Supreme Court’s direction came on conduct of the exams. This year too, the exams must be held,” said the Minister.

Online classes are being held and the courses will complete by the end of June. The VCs will discuss with the lectures and students about conduct of the examinations. Final decision will be taken on June 18, he added.
