Odisha witnessed a major decline in its single-day COVID tally as 5235

Bhubaneswar11/6/21: Odisha today witnessed a major decline in its single-day COVID tally as 5235 persons contracted the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s total caseload mounted to 8,42,461.

Total 65,635 samples were tested yesterday, said an official source.

Of the fresh cases detected from all  30 districts, 2957 are quarantine cases and 2278 local contact cases. Khordha district recorded highest 726 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (557) and Jajpur (394).

Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 66,226.
