Odisha government has appointed Hrushikesh Mishra, Special Commissioner of CT & GST as the Nodal Officer

Bhubaneswar:6/5/21: The Odisha government has appointed Hrushikesh Mishra, Special Commissioner of CT & GST as the Nodal Officer for purpose of issuing certificate during imports of specified Covid-19 related relief materials like drugs/ medicines/ vaccines/ oxygen concentrators/ equipment’s etc donated from abroad for free distribution in Odisha, said an official press release.

The press release stated that the importers will apply to the concerned Department for the import of such goods. After obtaining permission from the concerned Department, the importer will import the said goods donated from abroad for free distribution in Odisha.

After the goods are imported, before custom clearance, the agencies will apply to the Nodal Officer in the prescribed pro forma available on the website of the Commercial Tax Department for issuance of the Certificate required for customs clearance.

A Help Desk has also been set up for the purpose and the details of the contact persons of Help Desk are also contained in the letter available on the website of Commercial Tax Department.

After the said goods have been distributed, the agencies have to obtain a certificate of statement within 6 months of the utilization of such goods from the Nodal Officer.

The pro forma for the same is also available on the website of the Commercial Tax Department, the press release further stated.
