Vaccination drive for people in the 18-44 age group kicked off in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:3/5/21:The much-awaited third phase vaccination drive for people in the 18-44 age group kicked off in Bhubaneswar on Monday. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) initiated the exercise after receiving 1.5 lakh doses of Covaxin from Bharat Biotech.

People who had registered themselves on CoWin portal took the 1st jab as per slots at their respective vaccination centers. According to reports, the civic body has set a target for vaccination of as many as 5 lakh people. All the beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group will be administered the second dose by the end of June or the first of July.

Youth masses could be seen queuing up at different vaccination sites in Bhubaneswar under scorching heat waiting for their turn.
