Balasore District Administration sealed the Odisha-West Bengal border

Balasore: 23/4/21: In order to contain the spread of the second wave of Corona, Balasore District Administration sealed the Odisha-West Bengal border today.

Accordingly, all the inter-state routes connecting West-Bengal and Odisha have been declared closed till further order.

Vehicular moments in these routes are totally prohibited. Special enforcement squads are at work to ensure zero entry and exit through the inter-state passages. Similarly, teams are assigned to keep watch on the porous and rural routes so that no migrant laborers can enter unnoticed.

On the other hand, police have intensified vigil in the water routes so that no one can trespass into the state through waterways. Marine police and Coast Guard are conducting patrolling over the marine drive to check the West-Bengal returnees.
