Narendrapur, April 1, 202: Tata Steel BSL has observed UtkalDibasa or Odisha Dibasa, the foundation day of Odisha, with enthusiasm and gaiety. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the steel major had organised a debate competition on the importance of the day among 7 High School students around its plant located at Narendrapur in Dhenkanal district.
The winners were felicitated at a function organised at the CSR office of the company by Mr. Pankaj Pradhan, Sarpanch, Kusupanga, and Mr. Nirod Kumar Tripathy, a Governor awardee former teacher of the locality, and Mr. Dibyahas Ray, Head, CSR, Tata Steel BSL. Around 30 students from High Schools of Khaliberana, Sibapur, Kururnti, Mangalpur, Kusupanga, PP Kote, etc had participated in the competition.
The guests addressed the students about the importance of Odisha Dibas, sacrifices made by the leaders for its formation and how the students should preserve and promote the language and culture of the state, etc.
Along with the participants, guests and employees of the company were present on the occasion.
