939 startups have been registered in Odisha in the last four years

Bhubaneswar:26/3/21: As many as 939 startups have been registered in Odisha in the last four years, said Energy; Industries; Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Minster Dibya Shankar Mishra in the Assembly today.

A total of 184 startups were registered in the financial year 2017-18 whereas 214 startups registered in the financial year 2018-2019. Similarly, 194 startups registered in the financial year 2019-2020 while the highest 247 startups got registered in the year 2020-2021.

As per the reply of the minister, the highest numbers of startups were registered from Khordha district totaling to 567 while only one startup got registered in Sonepur district during this period.

Further, the Minister mentioned that Odisha has been recognised as a ‘leader’ state for taking initiatives to boost the startup policy.
